The hostel is located approximately 10 walking minutes from the city centre of Basel. The youth hostel is to be found in the venerable St Alban quarter, the original home of the Basler Daig, as the old established families of Basel are called. Behind the building flows the St Alban Canal, which earlier linked the various factories in the quarter to the Rhine.
